How we invest

Early, invested, and hands-on.

We invest our own capital, at the earliest stages, and spend our time helping with the hard parts: product, infrastructure, go-to-market and fundraising.

About

E.G. Galano

Camotes Capital was founded by E.G. Galano in 2022. He is a cofounder of Infura and the founder and CEO of Bazantic. He has spent his career building developer infrastructure from the first line of code onward.

We invest as operators: people who have been through the early days ourselves, and who will pick up the phone when things get hard.

The name

Why "Camotes"?

A camote is a sweet potato. There's an old Filipino joke that if you fail, you can always go home and plant camote.

We take it as a reminder: early-stage investing is risky, and so is building a company. The name keeps us humble and honest.
